German for Reading
The games, exercises and German texts that I have and continue to collect on this page are those that I put together for myself and other colleagues who are in the position of needed to learn to read German for graduate work. My own work is in Classical Studies (Latin and Roman Studies), and so, I have created and continue to create materials that will help me build a classical vocabulary in German, and practice reading German that is about the study of Classics.
The Grammar drills and games are based on a book I own entitled Essential German Grammar by Guy Stern and Everett F. Bleiler.
The reading drills and games are based on a book entitled German for Reading by Karl C. Sandberg and John R. Wendel. Let the user of these materials beware that owning the books would be better, as these drills are my own interpretation of the materials in them. I credit the books and authors as sources of these drills and games that I have created. If you find mistakes, please let me know (Patrick@mygrove.us) and I will correct them.
